Description
The Rescue ALF (R-ALF™) is an auto-locking pulley which incorporates an integral over-speed braking system and can be used for pick-off rescues and load hauling. Should the user ever accidentally lose control, the device will automatically lock to prevent a free-fall. The auto-locking function offers a simple and effective rescue plan solution, (even for users who are not highly trained/experts), which is suitable for use in the vast majority of locations/workplaces.
The device has been designed to work with approved 11mm Kernmantle rope, and the system is fully compliant with the requirements of ANSI Z359.4. In the absence of a specific EN standard, the R-ALF™ has been CE appproved in line with the PPE Directive, (having been tested to parts of EN360, EN1496 and EN 12278). The R-ALF™ offers a WLL of up to 250kg. The braking system has been life tested over several thousand cycles and therefore (unlike a Fall Arrest Block/SRL) it does not need to be regularly serviced/repaired after every fall arrest, but should be regularly inspected by a trained and authorised person.
The R-ALF™ is supplied as an Out-of-the-Bag, assembled and ready to use rescue solution. It cannot be supplied as a stand alone unit.
