Description
Lack of rider weight and/or environmental conditions such as head/side winds can cause the zipline trolley to stop short of the end of the zipline. The zipline trolley can then roll backwards leaving the rider stranded further out along the zipline. This can result in the operator performing long distance, time consuming and costly rescues!
The Anti-Rollback Cam (ARC) is a simple device that can be retro-fitted to the ISC Zipspeed and Zippey ranges of trolleys. During normal use the ARC trails, allowing the trolley to roll forwards unhindered. As soon as the trolley begins to roll backwards, the ARC is activated bringing the trolley to an immediate halt. This anti-roll back function captures the progress of the trolley, which means that even when the trolley doesn’t reach the end of the zipline, it is prevented from rolling backwards. Rescue distance, time, and costs are significantly reduced.
